Oh, I LOVE my furniture!!! :cheer:  So, I thought I’d post some pics. Here are two of the three pieces. One will be delivered later. The office was beautiful for all of a half hour but now? It’s trashed. LOL So much for organizing! I think I’ve made a bigger mess!

So, picture number one!

What do you think? I absolutely love it. Now to organize, dejunk and organize some more!

I’m going to need some small and medium plastic storage containers to go inside the cabinet. Anyone have any that they love and would recommend?

A Furniture High

Monday, December 29th, 2008

So, nine months ago my office flooded (Insert my typical whine here!) Cry and ever since then we’ve been working on getting my hodge-podge of furniture turned into a more organized, functional and professional office. Welllllll, some of my furniture is schedule to arrive—tomorrow!!!!! I’m so excited I can’t stand it! LOL Party I’ll have a place to sit, a place to work, DOORS TO CLOSE! I’ll finally be able to concentrate and hopefully make it to :theend: of my works in progress very soon because I’ll be so inspired. :box: :toast:

The problem?

Wait for it…

Wait for it……….

My husband and I have decided we’re going to try to sell our house. Yes, even though the market is the way that it is, we’re going to concentrate on finishing our house (it’s only been twelve years in the making), put a sign out and just see what happens. If we get our price, fine, if not, we’ll stay right here. It’s going to take a while just to finish up all those little projects (and I’ll lose my office!!!!! *sniffle*), which is just killing me, but we’re both excited at the prospect of selling. (Yes, we know we’re crazy ) So, in the year or so it’ll take to get our house ready for market, I’ll bask in the glow of my *sniffle* new office and plan my future one. The best part about my recently purchased furniture is that it’s moveable. :cheer: I made it very clear from the get-go that the furniture would go with me if we ever sold and I’m sticking to it!

In the meantime, I’m going to be hanging on by a thread :helphang: because of trying to get everything done. I’m going to try to stick to a more regimented schedule for writing to make the most of my days alone, and work on the house when the dh is off. So, if I’m MIA every now and again, that’s why. Please check back for an update on the chaos.

For my question of the day: how many times have you packed up and moved? And, OMG, moving! If we sell, any advice on how to dejunk?

Last week’s winner of the beaded earrings is: Tamara! Tamara, please email me privately with your shipping instructions.

Kay :bookluv: Ready to have my office back so I know where all my books are!!!

Christmas Eve

Wednesday, December 24th, 2008

Ahhh, the worst has passed. Thank you, God! So far so good on my dh not getting sick, and I’m still feeling fine so…. dare I hope to avoid the dreaded stomach plague? Maybe that combination of vitamins my doc told me to take actually works! Clap :box:

It’s Christmas Eve, and since I know most of you aren’t going to be blog surfing tomorrow, I thought I’d post my Christmas wishes today. First, I want to start off by saying how very thankful I am for so many things. I’m thankful for my faith, my family, my home and health. I’m thankful for my life and career and for so many wonderful readers like YOU. I’m thankful for my friends (you, again :crowdSmile and for the many blessings in my life.

I hope that everyone will remember that without Christ, there would be no CHRISTmas, and I hope and pray each and every person will take a moment to stop, take a breath and just say a word of thanks, remembering what the big day is all about. If you do, I promise you’ll get this little feeling in the pit of your stomach and your day, no matter how tense or stressed or OMG is that my family?, will go just a little bit smoother, better and happier. Those are my Christmas wishes for you.

Hug those you love, give a lonely stranger a smile, remember the true meaning of Christmas.

With love and good wishes,

Kay

ps–Please report in and tell us all what Santa brought you! :santalis: :reading: :singing: Snowman Madmasprs:

Christmas Eve Eve

Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008

So, for Christmas Eve eve I’m cleaning up puke. Razzuke: Razzuke: Why two faces? Because BOTH my lovely little darlings are hurling while I’m feeling the need for space! Especially when they’re so :needhug: LOL What mothers go through, eh? And right before Christmas??? Ugh!!! Please, pray for me. I don’t want to be sick for Christmas!

On a good note, my editor emailed late yesterday evening to say I have a new title! What do you think about SIMON SAYS MOMMY? SIMON SAYS MOMMY will be out September, 2009, and it’s Ethan’s story. Hmmmm…. wonder who Simon is, don’t you? :wave2:

So, what are you doing for Christmas Eve eve? Do you have any special family rituals? Last minute baking? Reindeer food making?
