Chaperoning
Wednesday, February 25th, 2009Tomorrow I’m traveling with a school group as a chaperone. We’ll be spending the night at COSI, a science and research center in Columbus, Ohio. If you’ve never been to COSI or something like it, they’re lots of fun, very informative and just plain cool.
I’ve been warned about the noise (we’re one of many, many schools attending the event), the uncomfortable sleeping conditions (thin carpet over concrete floors) that a sleeping bag just doesn’t fix, and lots and lots of kids, but I think (hope and pray) it’ll be fun and a great experience all around. But that got me thinking about chaperoning and all the things that can happen. That many hormonal kids in one place?
So, please say a prayer and wish me luck–and tell me if you’ve ever chaperoned a group of teens before. Come on, tell me some stories! I need to be prepared LOL And if you haven’t chaperoned, well, what have you done on those trips when the chaperones weren’t looking???

LOL Why? Because I have four teenagers in my house and the energy level is astounding…and I’ve learned two things.
And trying to remember when I was that age.
