Superromance author Ellen Hartman was our “rep” this year. Here she is with her editor Victoria Curren

I love this photo from the Harlequin Party. It’s one of the covers used years ago projected onto the wall.

This is very dark, but it’s a photo of Amy Knupp and me at the Harlequin Party.

Amy Knupp and her editor are in deep discussion. Note the editor’s fingers. What on earth are they discussing??? :badgirl:

Ellen Hartman and Jeannie Watts have a wee bit of a competition going regarding the dance floor. Here they are pre-dance off. LOL

Yup, that was me, falling down on the job yesterday when it comes to blogging. *sigh* I’m dragging on this uphill climb. LOL But, I promised more pics and here are a few more!

Amy Knupp and I went to the National Zoo one day. Okay, she had to drag me but I went. And I’m so glad I did! Loved watching the pandas.

I thought this was a very cool picture of the zoo’s monitoring system for the pandas.

That’s probably enough for now. More to come, including a freaky photo of the tunnel leading to the metro. Very cool, very weird place.

I’m back! And exhausted. But since I love to take pics I thought I’d share the fun. So…

Superromance editor Victoria Curren and author Jeannie Watts. Notice Victoria’s tiara choker? LOL

This one’s a little blurry but I was finally able to meet Blaze author Samantha Hunter. Sam hangs out with us on the Superromance boards and is such a sweet person.

Post Vacation Drama

Sunday, July 12th, 2009

I’m back! Sorry I’ve been away so long. The fam and I went on vacation and because of all the break-ins etc in our area, I didn’t want to post on my blog that we were gone. :nono:

Well, after a working vacation (I mostly saw the beach from our hotel bedroom), we’re two hours from home when we get a call that a tornado had blown through our small town.

Thankfully the damage to our home was very minor. We lost some trees, have some roof damage but our house is still standing and best of all–we weren’t in town to see it! (I have a major fear of storms–yikes!)

I’ll post some pics when I can. The cell tower was damaged and I can’t sent them from my phone. As soon as I can, I’ll post.

So, that was my weekend. How was your week?

Kay

Deadlines, revisions and conferences–oh, my!

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Hi, guys!

I’m writing to say I’ll be MIA for a while. I have revisions due, a deadline on another project and a conference coming up so things around here are piling up! I’ll check back in in a few days and see what’s happening.

Until then, have a SAFE July 4th weekend! Enjoy the fireworks and remember independence isn’t free. Our soldiers have fought and died for our rights and we need to respect the sacrifices they’ve made, whether we agree with the politics or not.

Have a great weekend!
